Our client, a growing employer in Oxford, NS, is seeking a skilled Industrial Battery Technician to join their team. This family-owned business operates internationally with over 1,200 employees, eight manufacturing sites, and two large farming operations across Atlantic Canada and the United States. Known for producing high-quality wild blueberries, frozen carrots, and battered appetizers, they are a leader in their industry.
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining and optimizing the company’s forklift fleet, ensuring reliable power systems and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair lead-acid, lithium-ion, and other battery types used in forklifts and equipment.
- Perform diagnostic testing, troubleshoot faults, and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct preventative maintenance to extend battery lifespan and reduce downtime.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and proper use of PPE in a warehouse environment.
- Provide technical support to warehouse teams and assist with battery-related operations.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Grade 12).
- Experience in automotive repair, heavy equipment maintenance, or a related trade.
- Familiarity with operating forklifts and maintaining industrial batteries.
- Knowledge of electrical troubleshooting is considered an asset.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
