Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized, clinical professional to join our multidisciplinary team at our Cardio 1 / LifeSmart location. This role requires clinical research coordination.
As a Clinical Research Nurse, you will manage innovative medical protocols while ensuring high-quality participant care. The ideal candidate is a critical thinker who can pivot seamlessly between the rigid requirements of research and the dynamic needs of a clinical practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Research Coordination & Clinical Care
- Protocol Implementation: Plan and execute research protocols in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
- Participant Management: Deliver high-quality care to research participants, ensuring safety and strict adherence to study ethics.
- Clinical Skills: Perform technical duties including IV starts, various injection types, and collection/processing of biological samples (blood, urine, and mucous).
- Compliance: Adhere to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and maintain meticulous documentation for study sponsors.
Qualifications:
Professional Credentials:
- Active Registration: Must be a member in good standing with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).
- Certifications: Current CPR Level C is required. Must hold (or obtain within 2 months) certifications in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG).
Experience & Skills:
- Background: Prior experience with Research is highly preferred.
- Technical Proficiency: Efficient in all types of injections and starting IVs.
- Digital Literacy: Competent in navigating computer systems and learning new electronic medical records (EMR) or research databases.
- Communication: Exceptional time management and communication skills for interacting with team members, sponsors, and patients.
Attributes:
- Detail-Oriented: Precision in clinical notes and data entry is a non-negotiable requirement.
- Autonomy: Able to work independently while remaining responsive to direction from superiors and the research team.
Work Schedule & Flexibility:
- Availability: Shifts occur between Monday and Saturday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
- Shift Length: Varies between 3 to 12 hours (most are approximately 6-8 hours) based on clinic flow and protocol requirements.
Compensation:
- Salary is negotiable based on experience.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25.0 – 35.0 per week
