As a part of our continued growth, our Kelowna office has an outstanding opportunity for a Water/Wastewater Engineer to assist in the delivery of new projects. The successful candidate will have an understanding of civil engineering, civil technology and construction management principles and is very familiar with the design and construction of municipal infrastructure. She/he will be expected to work successfully within a team environment and be able to communicate effectively with other project team members and customers. He/she will have a high level of initiative, motivation, and displays drive, energy and enthusiasm for getting things done. The successful candidate will be expected to support in the delivery of infrastructure to customers mostly within the municipal water, and wastewater sectors.

The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

+ Complete technical calculations to support design decisions

+ Be able to use Autodesk products to prepare design drawings

+ Prepare process mechanical drawings using Revit

+ Prepare technical specifications

+ Assist with the preparation of technical reports

+ Be able to prepare P & ID’s

+ Complete construction inspections and associated documentation to support the Contract Administrator

Minimum Requirements

+ Bachelor's degree in a related field

+ Excellent written and verbal communications skills; Strategic, analytical and practical thinker

+ Should have a working knowledge of water / wastewater treatment and conveyance infrastructure in a Municipal and/or Industrial environment

+ Work effectively with senior engineers and demonstrate a willingness to learn

Preferred Qualifications

+ A degree in engineering from an accredited university and eligible to be registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.)

+ 1+ years of experience in the engineering consulting industry delivering water and wastewater infrastructure projects will be an asset

+ Competency in selecting process technologies for the treatment of water and wastewater

+ Thorough knowledge of BC Ministry of Environment policies and approval requirements
