Crosslinx Transit Solutions (CTS) is a consortium comprised of EllisDon, SNC-Lavalin, Aecon and ACS - Dragados. CTS has been selected to deliver the Eglinton Crosstown Light Rail Transit Project and is seeking highly qualified, experienced personnel to join the team of this complex P3 design and construction project.
In this opportunity, you will support the installation, inspection, and testing of the Tunnel Ventilation Systems.
In this position you shall be responsible for but not limited to the following:
Support Site installation of TVS equipment (axial fans, jet fans, dampers, MCCs & VFDs, Control Panels, etc) and T&C support for 15 underground stations and the connecting tunnels.
Coordinate with Station M&E coordinators for TVS equipment delivery to project sites.
Prepare installation packs to facilitate Station’s and Tunnel’s TVS contractors to install the equipment and respond to site queries in timely manner.
Perform TVS rooms/shafts readiness checks and conduit inspections.
Travel to the construction sites to conduct TVS mechanical and electrical inspections and prepare inspection reports;
Record equipment and installation deficiencies and initiate remediation plan;
Support TVS equipment start-ups and conducting TVS testing including cold flow measurements.
Mechanical engineer or equivalent
Previous Computational Fluid Dynamics and Subway Environment Simulation experience is essential for cold flow verification tests;
Previous site installations and/or T&C support on TVS projects;
Excellent hands-on skills to support damper actuator and limit switch adjustments, and fan balancing.
Proven recent experience dealing with jet fans, axial fans and parallel blade dampers, PLC MCC, VFD, etc.
Commit to nightshifts and irregular working hours through the T&C phase and commuting between stations during testing.
Good muscular and cardiovascular endurance for holding air flow meter, and walking/climbing stairs throughout stations/tunnels during cold flow testing under strong winds.
Demonstrated written and verbal English communication skill proficiency effectively communicating complex engineering issues;
Sound judgment supported by excellent technical, analytical and problem-solving skills
Must be a good team player and decision maker.
