At Provix, as an Install Technician, you will install Collision Avoidance Systems (‘CAS’) comprising of components including cameras, displays, radars, and alarms. This role will support a large-scale fleet project involving the installation, testing, and commissioning, followed by ongoing maintenance. You will also have the following responsibilities:
- Installation of 12VDC/24VDC aftermarket electronics and components for CAS and other camera systems.
- Mechanical installation of external sensors which require appropriate vehicle modification for mounting and cable routing;
- Use of software for configuration of sensors;
- Testing, calibration, commissioning, and troubleshooting of CAS components and camera systems;
- Following standardized installation instructions to ensure consistent and repeatable installations;
- Ongoing maintenance of CAS components including inspections, servicing, troubleshooting, repairs, recalibration, and system testing.
- Maintaining clean, organized work areas and complete end-of-shift cleaning per company guidelines and specific project requirements; and
- Other duties as assigned.
- Compliance Requirement: This role is subject to drug and/or alcohol testing as required to meet customer compliance obligations.
What We Require:
- Automotive 12VDC/24VDC wiring experience;
- Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills for installing safety equipment on various vehicles and equipment;
- Computer aptitude for sensor configurations and troubleshooting;
- Experience working on transit buses, heavy-duty vehicles, or fleet installations;
- High aptitude for troubleshooting and working under pressure;
- Ability to work safely, keeping the workspace clean and organized, free of hazards; and
- Excellent people skills for in-person interaction with customers.
- Valid Drivers’ License with a clean abstract.
- Valid Canadian Passport.

Job Type and Location:
Full-time.
To support the large-scale fleet project, installations of the CAS components will be completed at the customer’s facility in Mississauga, Ontario for a period of one-year with the role then supporting ongoing maintenance work across the customer’s facilities in Central and South-Central Ontario, primarily within the Greater Toronto Area and the Greater Golden Horseshoe.
Willingness to travel:
- Willingness to travel to customer facilities, as required.
Expected hours:
- 40 hours per week typically, flexible shifts and overtime as needed.
- This role may also require the ability and willingness to work night shifts on some occasions (typically 9:00 PM – 5:00 AM) and remain on-call during weekends, as required.
