Duties
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to computer hardware, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals using schematics and hand tools.
- Troubleshoot software problems across operating systems such as Windows to restore functionality efficiently.
- Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on hardware components to improve performance and extend device lifespan.
- Use analysis skills to identify recurring issues, recommend solutions, and document repair processes clearly for future reference.
- Support the setup of new equipment and assist with inventory management of parts and tools necessary for repairs.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with computer hardware repair, including knowledge of components and assembly techniques using hand tools.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in software issues across multiple operating systems such as Windows, Linux and Chrome OS.
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams to diagnose hardware issues effectively.
- Excellent analysis skills to assess problems quickly and determine appropriate solutions.
- Knowledge of retail sales environments is a plus, especially in supporting customer-facing technology needs.
- Effective communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical team members or customers.
