What is the opportunity?
As the Business Development Manager, Field Sales, you will be responsible to provide strategic and tactical support, advice and coaching to Regional Directors and Regional Vice-Presidents in Field Sales to increase their sales management and coaching skills, knowledge and effectiveness resulting in the achievement of sales and business performance goals and a differentiated client experience. Reporting into the Senior Manager, Business Development, you will work in collaboration with high level management to develop and execute on COI and Business Development growth.
Also, you will anticipate market needs, develop and execute programs for agents providing clients advice in the field, distributors, and clients to maximize interest and effectiveness in all processes. You will typically manage and oversee supervisors and/or hourly/professional jobs and responsible for setting the overall direction for employees.
What will you do?
Effectively support the sales leadership in delivering in-market Sales & Services Discoveries to identify gaps, emerging trends, proven best practices, and opportunities and provide advice & counsel to the Senior Manager regarding the deployment of resources to maximize performance and financial opportunities
Be a lead to support activities: pipeline management, events, roadshows, seminars, lead programs, call nights/programs, campaigns, marketing activities, training and coaching needs, as well as COI development and maintenance.
Act as an advocate for sales leaders/forces with National Office partners including escalating gaps/requirements/quick
Collaborate with partners to identify gaps in Client Loyalty/Problem Resolution.
Ensure that sales training, coaching, and messaging, incorporates the Proactive Sales Culture and enables the tenets, particularly Best in Class Sales Force, Maximized Sales Activities, Clients as Advocates and Increased Sales Focus
Assists RD’s and RVP’s through transfer of knowledge and skills to improve professional sales, sales management and coaching routines
Supports the integration of RBCI Partners in the region to leverage common client opportunities and maximize sales
Identify and promote proven best practices/activities through Sales & Service Discoveries or other means to avoid channel/region duplication of effort customization
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
Post-secondary degree or equivalent
Life/A&S License (HLLQP/LLQP)
Experience working in the Insurance industry
Ability to build solid relationships and work in partnership within a dynamic environment
Strong Ability to persuade, motivate and coach others
Robust organizational skills and ability to multi-tasks
Digital literacy using a variety of systems and tools
