Position Description

The successful candidate will be a strategic individual with 7-10 years of leadership experience in managerial accounting and financial management. Previous leadership of additional corporate/administrative services is an asset.


A key member of the executive leadership team, the VP Finance will report directly to the President, Voyageur Aviation. As the senior financial position at the subsidiary, the Vice President has dotted line reporting to the Chorus CFO.

Directing all aspects of finance and accounting operations and overseeing the team responsible for all transactions related to general ledger, receivables, payables, payroll and financial reporting, capital and expense budgeting.
Analyzing company's financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs and compliance with budgets.
Preparing audited financial statements; ensuring that records are maintained in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
Leading senior management in financial planning and results management. Ensuring executive understand revenue and cost drivers and define appropriate reports for tracking.
Responsible for preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as per the corporate requirement and timelines.
Overseeing the preparation of tax schedules, returns and information.
Monitoring and assessing cash flow, cost controls, and expenses to guide business operations.
Managing quality control of financial transactions and reporting, including development and adherence to policies, procedures and standards, as well as ensuring integrity of internal controls.
Developing funding plans and risk management strategies.
Preparing for and responding to audits. Providing input to the corporate Audit Plan.
Conducting other projects and initiatives as assigned in accordance with business needs.
Collaborate with the executive team to develop growth strategies and resource plans.
Modelling and promoting the corporate values.

7-10 plus years of experience in finance leadership positions.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business; CPA required.
Experience working in a public company strongly preferred.
Strong working knowledge of IFRS; In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices
Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Ability to work effectively and collaboratively across the organization.
