Turning Leaf is a non-profit, charitable organization that provides person-centered, crisis and treatment services to low and high-risk vulnerable and marginalized individuals living with mental illness and intellectual challenge in our community. Turning Leaf’s support is customized to every individual’s needs and risk level. We offer crisis-intervention and treatment services, community support, day program services, residential support (including emergency housing, 24-hour homes, cluster housing, and home share), a harm reduction program, clinical services, indigenous services and more.

The participants of our programs are often deeply impacted by their circumstances which can become barriers to living safely and independently in the community. Trauma, homelessness, poverty, addictions, discrimination, sexual exploitation, societal stigmas, and lack of access to resources are some of the barriers our participants face every day.

JOB SUMMARY
The Power Platform Developer is a full-time position within the agency’s technology team. The role's key responsibilities revolve around designing, developing, and administering Extended Relationship Management (XRM) and data-related business systems in collaboration with senior leadership and key users across departments. The Power Platform Developer is a versatile role that blends aspects of software development, database administration, business analysis, and data analysis. T
he position requires a bachelor’s degree or relevant certification in computer science with a solid foundation in database management systems, Power Platform architecture, and data analysis. Effective functioning in the role is supported by strong communication skills to facilitate collaboration and user support, as well as the confidence and creativity to self-direct, approach modern systems, and take initiative in loosely-defined problem spaces.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIRES
- Develop from an established backlog for the Agency's core model-driven XRM application, focusing on bug fixes, new feature development, and optimizations.
- Develop, configure, and extend Dataverse schemas, Power Automate workflows, and Power Apps components based on prioritized technical requirements.
- Serve as the primary system administrator and technical support contact for the Microsoft Power Platform environment, troubleshooting application issues and ensuring system stability.
- Build and maintain data integrations and technical reporting layers to support the Agency's broader business intelligence needs.
- Manage and optimize the internal Datawarehouse infrastructure to ensure reliable data processing and storage.
- Design, build, and deploy advanced Power BI semantic models, reports, and interactive dashboards.
- Collaborate closely with technical leadership to translate defined business requirements and backlog items into scalable Power Platform solutions.
- Provide clear technical documentation and communicate system capabilities, constraints, and data insights to team members.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s Degree or relevant certification in computer science
- Experience working in a team environment
- Experience with database administration, XRM schema design, and data modelling Experience with the Microsoft Power Platform, including:
- Model-driven Power Apps
- Dataverse
- Power Automate
- Power BI
- Microsoft Dataflows
- Experience with Excel, including Power Pivot
- Experience web-programming in Javascript is an asset
