The opportunity
We are looking for a proactive, experienced external communications leader who is passionate about building brand, managing complex issues and creating a high-performing team. A seasoned leader, you thrive on building positive, external profile by creating compelling stories and driving meaningful outcomes that break through the noise. In your role you will lead a global, best-in-class external communications strategy that builds Teachers’ profile.
Who you'll work with
You will provide external communications support to the executive team and key senior leaders across multiple division as well as establish key relationships with external partners and key influencers.
In this role you will:
Lead a best-in-class external communications strategy to build our brand around the world
Implement a proactive external strategy to minimize the impact on issues on our reputation
Establish coveted relationships with global media, bloggers and online influencers
Build, coach and mentor a high-performing, highly engaged external communications team
Elevate our company narrative across key channels and audiences
Partner with portfolio companies to unearth unique and differentiated stories
Lead the company’s response to key issues and act as a company spokesperson
Lead communications for annual results, annual general meeting and ESG reporting
Act as a senior strategic advisor to executives and senior leaders on a wide range of files
Ideally, you have:
Exceptional judgement and problem-solving skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
An innate desire to take initiative, be accountable and deliver outstanding results
An ability to think strategically and influence effectively at all levels of the organization
A deep passion for turning complex concepts into compelling content to inform and engage
Minimum of 12 years of increasingly senior experience in external communications
A university degree in communications, journalism or business administration
In-depth knowledge of financial services, institutional investing or asset management
