Salary:
$62,500 per annum; The gross salary paid is subject to applicable Federal and Provincial income taxes and other statutory deductions such as EI and CPP.
Other Benefits:
Optional group insurance, medical benefits including dental and vision care would be offered on cost sharing basis upon completion of 6 months of employment.
Vacation:
4% of the gross salary

Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities
- Oversee daily daycare operations, ensuring a high standard of care and education.
- Supervise and mentor Early Childhood Educators, Assistants, and support staff.
- Conduct staff training, evaluations, and ongoing professional development.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.
- Ensure that classroom programming aligns with Lullaboo’s “How Does Learning Happen” framework.
- Support educators in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities and learning experiences.
- Monitor children’s developmental progress and provide guidance on individualized learning approaches.
- Ensure compliance with Child Care and Early Years Act regulations and classroom ratios.
- Maintain health and safety standards, including conducting daily inspections and risk assessments.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including attendance records, incident reports, and health and safety checks.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for children.
- Address children’s emotional, physical, and behavioral needs, working with external professionals such as Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Early Interventionists as necessary.
- Communicate regularly with parents, providing updates on their child’s progress and addressing any concerns.
- Support children through transitions within the classroom environment.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels with children, parents and coworkers.
- Ability to utilize Lullaboo’s computer system for all documentation, reporting, and classroom operations

Job Requirements
- Completion of an accredited college program in early childhood education required.
- Registration with the College of ECE and in good standing
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Registered Early Childhood Educator
- Ability to lift children up to the age of 5
- Vaccination Records must include a clear 2 Stage TB test and all other vaccinations up to date.
