Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Excavator Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, primarily excavator, to assist in various jobs. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy machinery, safety protocols, and efficient operation to ensure project success and safety on-site. Prior experience with heavy machinery is required.
Duties
- Operate excavators safely and efficiently to perform excavation, material handling tasks.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards.
- Follow project plans and specifications to execute precise digging and earth-moving activities.
- Coordinate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean work environment around machinery and worksite areas.
Skills
- Proven experience operating excavators
- Mechanical knowledge of construction machinery
- Knowledge of construction site safety procedures and best practices.
- Understanding of heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) is required to drive to and from site
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Physical stamina to operate heavy machinery for extended periods in various weather conditions. This role is integral to the successful completion of construction projects requiring precision operation of heavy equipment while maintaining safety standards at all times.
- Truck will be required as we need fuel, tools, etc.. transported to site.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
