Precision Castparts Corporation is a leading global supplier to the aerospace industry. We have a current opportunity for CNC Machinist Manual to join our PCC Woodbridge, Ontario Team. We are looking for team players, who takes pride in delivering quality work and providing exceptional results for our customers.
Manual:
- Setup the machine by using proper tools and setup sheets.
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and measuring instruments.
- Operate machine with proper guarding in place, report any damaged guarding, tool holders, tools etc. Check oil levels of machine and keep it in good condition.
- Visual inspect parts for imperfections.
- Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, or grinders.
- Change tool length and diameter offsets, fixture and pallet offsets. Use proper feed and speed for maximum efficiency.
- Study sample parts, blueprints, drawings, and engineering information in order to determine methods and sequences of operations needed to fabricate products, and determine product dimensions and tolerances
- Follow the company Health and Safety Policy and practice safe working habits, industrial hygiene and good housekeeping around benches and machines.
- Participate in Kaizen events & 6S initiatives
- All other duties as assigned
