Position Overview: We are seeking a friendly and knowledgeable Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Fred's Custom Tackle Chilliwack. The ideal candidate is passionate about fishing and outdoor activities, possesses excellent communication skills, and enjoys providing exceptional customer service. This role involves assisting customers with product selection, operating the point-of-sale system, and maintaining a tidy and organized store environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly and ascertain their needs.
- Recommend products that meet customers' needs and preferences, based on your knowledge of fishing tackle and equipment.
- Provide accurate information about products, pricing, and availability.
- Demonstrate the use and benefits of various fishing equipment and accessories.
- Assist customers in locating merchandise within the store.
- Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, including restocking shelves and tidying displays.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and courteously.
- Uphold store standards for merchandise presentation and cleanliness.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and enhance the overall customer experience.
Qualifications:
- Passion for fishing and outdoor activities; knowledge of fishing tackle and equipment is highly desirable.
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy merchandise when necessary.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
