Driver
Full time – approx. 40 hours/week

About the position
We are looking for someone to help with deliveries on various supply and job sites across the lower mainland. The ideal candidate is an experienced driver who can think for themselves and handle arising issues without direct supervision.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Safe Transportation: Safely operate company vehicles (e.g., pickup trucks, flatbed, cube van) to transport materials between local suppliers, our warehouse, and various job sites.
- Loading & Unloading: Assist with the safe loading, securing (strapping, chaining, and tarping), and unloading of construction materials.
- Shipment Verification: Review packing slips, invoices, and purchase orders at pickup to ensure all requested materials are accounted for and undamaged.
- Site Coordination: Communicate effectively with site superintendents and foremen to coordinate drop-off locations, delivery times, and material handling upon arrival.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Keep the vehicle clean, report any mechanical issues immediately, and ensure routine maintenance schedules are followed.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to all traffic laws, transportation regulations, and active job site safety protocols.
Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional driving experience. Prior experience driving for a construction, building supply, or logistics company is highly preferred.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence, with clean driving record (must be able to provide a recent driver’s abstract).
- Forklift ticket is an asset
- Possession of valid work permit or otherwise authorized to work in Canada

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $21.22-$31.98 per hour
