Astoria Counselling & Assessment is a private mental health clinic in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and was founded by two Registered Psychologists. Through both counselling and assessments, we empower our clients to grow. We are changing the perception of what therapy can look like, and we encourage a proactive approach when it comes to counselling.
We’ve built a team of passionate Psychologists and Social Workers who are committed to helping clients function and live optimally, in order to become the best version of themselves. We’ve created a beautiful office space that is approachable, elevated, and warm. We have excellent relationships with school boards and professional service providers in the community, and we continue to build a strong referral network throughout the city and the province.
We are seeking a Registered (or Provisionally Registered) Psychologist or a Registered Social Worker to join our team, offering counselling services as a full-time, independent contractor. Multiple part-time positions could also be available.

Our Ideal Candidate Would Be/Have/Be Able To:
- Master's Degree in Psychology or Social Work. BSWs will be considered if candidate has ample clinical experience.
- Active licensure and in good standing with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists or the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers.
- Proof of professional liability insurance
- Experience in providing counselling services to adults, children and youth
- Strong clinical skills; experience in a private practice setting would be a great asset
- Self-motivated and able to manage own caseload effectively
- Positive, collaborative, and committed to ongoing professional development
- Comfortable working independently within a team-focused environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Understanding and adherence to ethical guidelines outlined by the regulatory body
- Maintain updated and thorough case note documentation, completed in a timely manner
- Awareness of community resources and programming to assist in client care
