Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Manager to oversee and coordinate construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of construction processes, and proficiency with industry-standard management software. This role involves managing project schedules, budgets, and teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality projects while maintaining safety and compliance standards. The Construction Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, ensuring seamless communication and project execution.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all phases of construction projects, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Review and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate project execution.
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, Civil 3D, and Construction estimating tools to develop project timelines, budgets, and reports.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate smooth workflow and resolve issues promptly.
- Monitor project progress against schedules and budgets; implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards throughout the construction process.
- Manage procurement activities including bidding processes and contract negotiations.
- Oversee site safety protocols and conduct regular inspections to mitigate risks.
- Maintain detailed documentation of project activities, changes, and communications for record-keeping and reporting purposes.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction management with a strong background in civil engineering or related fields.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating.
- Hands-on experience with project management software such as ProCore, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, Civil 3D, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with construction scheduling techniques using Primavera P6 or equivalent software.
- Knowledge of heavy civil projects including site development, infrastructure work, or large-scale commercial projects is preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple teams effectively.
- Excellent time management skills with a focus on meeting deadlines without compromising quality or safety standards.
