The warehouse associated role will assist in all warehouse operations. This role will involve warehouse activities such as shipping and receiving, loading and off-loading of trucks and all other duties assigned.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Complete an Operator safety training course on Counterbalance and Reach style forklifts.
- Perform safety checklist on forklifts and cranes.
- Report any maintenance and or repairs required to warehouse lead ASAP.
- Lifting or moving valves that range from 5 to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Forklifts and cranes are to be used for heavier products.
- Perform daily cycle counts first thing every morning and submit to warehouse lead.
- Daily house cleaning required. Such as sweeping and emptying garbage cans or whatever else may be asked.
- Unpack inventory or incoming material using supplied put-away reports.
- Examine this material to ensure there is no damage and no shortages.
- Report any damage or shorts to the warehouse lead immediately.
- Assist with preparing orders for shipping. This will include pulling the correct product, recording heat numbers, and packing the product for shipment.
- Working with saws, nail guns, and compressors.
- Affix shipping labels to the boxes or pallets prior to couriers picking up.
- Making and attaching SS tags to valves when required to do so.
- Examine outgoing shipments to ensure the weights and dimensions are accurate.
- Occasional overtime required after hours and or weekends.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 + year experience in industrial supply and or shipping and receiving.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Prior forklift experience would be an asset, but training will be provided.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Pay strong attention to detail, stay organized and ability to solve problems.
- Basic computer skills.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain a high level of activity, muti tasking and stay efficient in a results driven environment.
