We are looking for a Veterinary Assistant who already has a solid foundation but is hungry to learn, grow, and expand their capabilities. This role is perfect for someone with a few years of experience who wants the structure, leadership support, and mentorship needed to take both their clinical and client communication skills to the next level.
What We Are Looking For
- Education: Completion of a recognized Veterinary Assistant, Animal Care Aide, or equivalent program.
- &/OR Experience: A few years of practical experience working in a veterinary environment.
- +/Plus a growth mindset: A strong work ethic, a collaborative spirit, and a desire to actively participate in mentorship and professional development.
Daily Duties & Growth:
We don't take a static approach to our care or our team's growth. As an integral part of our appointment and medical team, your daily responsibilities will include:
- Appointment Assistance : Assiting your assigned DVM in ensuring the smooth flow of appointments. Being the hands on provider for the patients in your appointment stream. Alongside the DVMs and RVTs exucting the care plan during their visit.
- Financial Transparency: Once the DVM has made their assesment and recomendations, reviewing medical costs and treatment plans clearly and empathetically with pet parents, ensuring they feel informed and supported.
- Client Empowerment & Education: Providing guidance to owners on vital wellness topics, including vaccine schedules, nutrition, general behavior, and preventative care.
- Patient Handling & Nursing Care: Assisting with safe, low-stress patient restraint, surgical prep, laboratory tasks, pharmacy duties, and general nursing care under the guidance of our DVMs and RVTs.
- Hospital Workflow: Maintaining clean, organized exam rooms and treatment areas to help our team function efficiently and uphold our high standards of care.
