Hiring: Building Products Testing Technicians (Burnaby, BC)
Recent graduates are encouraged to apply from Building Science, Material Science or Construction educational background! If you enjoy hands-on technical work and are interested in building a career in testing and certification in Building Products Department, this is an excellent opportunity to get started with QAI Laboratories.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist & Conduct testing of building products and assemblies
- Build and prepare test specimens, including walls, floors, and doors
- Read construction drawings and testing procedures
- Collect test data and support technical report preparation
- Operate laboratory equipment and maintain a safe work environment
- Learn and apply ASTM, UL, CSA standards, and building code requirements
What You Bring:
- Technical diploma, trade certification, or related education in Material Science, Building Science or Construction background
- Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in hands-on work
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Co-op, internship, construction, laboratory, or testing experience is an asset

Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
