On behalf of our client Affinity is actively seeking to hire a Data Migration Lead. You will be working to support the roll out and transformation of a Broker Operations and Insurance Operations (BOIO) platform as well as the on-going integration efforts of business acquisitions. Timely, accurate, and efficient data migration from various legacy applications to the new platform is paramount to the future success as they continue to rapidly grow across Canada.
Responsibilities:

Responsible for driving the entire data migration effort to migrate data from many legacy applications across Canada into the new BOIO platform.

Build on existing and create new data migration artifacts while taking ownership of data migration plans, schedule and cut over coordination, resourcing, and approach for the Broker Operations and Insurance Operations (BOIO) project.

Work with resources on the Acquisitions & Integration team to support infrastructure migration efforts from acquired companies.

Oversee and get directly involved as need in the execution of data migration mapping, testing, clean up/remediation, and for the BOIO project while partnering with the SaaS vendor data migration team.

Set out data quality control standards and monitor.

Working with SMEs identify data quality gaps and support their remediation.

Responsible for pre-load and post-load data validation, including reporting on load success performance.

Coach and direct business and technology resources on data migration best practices to improve data migration process efficiency, effectiveness, and outcomes.

Report on key data migration metrics for the project(s) and advise on remediations if metrics are indicating sub-part quality or migration is falling behind schedule.

Get familiar with source data complexity and unique system instances to advise on more optimal platform roll outs across Canada.

Adapt data migration strategies based on results of prior migration waves.
Qualifications:

Demonstrated high degree of initiative and a hands-on approach

Minimum 5 years’ experience working as part of enterprise-scale projects, including extensive experience with SaaS implementations

Prior experience leading data migration team / work streams on a major technology project

Project management, Business Analysis, and/or project coordination experience is an asset

Exemplary attention to detail and analytical mindset is required
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
-
Ability to develop dynamic working relationships with multiple stakeholders
-
Strong people management skills
