- Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and training programs that work in both jurisdictions
- Drive incident prevention — conduct investigations, identify root causes, and turn findings into corrective actions and training
- Manage compliance programs, including driver qualification files, vehicle maintenance standards, and pre/post-trip inspection processes on both sides of the border
- Conduct audits and site inspections across Canadian and US locations to ensure consistent safety performance
- Champion the safety culture — coach drivers, dispatch, and operations teams, and hold everyone accountable to the same standard
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, insurance providers, and clients on safety and compliance matters
- Track and report safety KPIs — incident rates, compliance scores, and audit results — to leadership
