Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist /with Siemens SINUMERIK 840D experience to join our precision crankshaft manufacturing team. The successful candidate will set up, operate, adjust, and troubleshoot CNC machinery used to manufacture high-precision crankshafts and related components. This position is best suited for an experienced machinist who is comfortable working independently, making machine adjustments, interpreting drawings, and maintaining tight dimensional and geometric tolerances. Candidate will also work close with Department Lead to ensure machine efficiencies Previous hands-on Siemens 840D experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machinery equipped with Siemens SINUMERIK 840D controls
- Load, edit, and troubleshoot CNC programs at the machine
- Set tooling, work offsets, tool offsets, fixtures, and part alignment
- Manufacture crankshafts and related precision components according to engineering drawings andspecifications
- Machine complex features including journals, eccentric/offset features, bearing surfaces, shoulders,radii, and oil holes
- Adjust feeds, speeds, offsets, and tooling to maintain part quality
- Monitor tool wear, chatter, vibration, runout, taper, and dimensional drift
- Perform in-process and final inspections using micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, calipers,and other precision measuring equipment
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, setup sheets, and machining specifications
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, programming, and workholding issues
- Complete required production and quality documentation
- Work with engineering, programming, quality, and other machinists to improve machining processes
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and perform routine machine maintenance
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a CNC Machinist, CNC Setup Operator, or CNC Programmer/Operator
- Experience with Siemens SINUMERIK 840D controls
- Strong CNC setup and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to edit programs and make offsets/adjustments at the machine
- Strong understanding of CNC machining, tooling, feeds, speeds, and cutting conditions
- Ability to read complex engineering drawings and GD&T
- Experience machining to tight tolerances
- Proficiency with precision measuring equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a manufacturing team

Experience with any of the following is an advantage:
- Crankshaft manufacturing or repair
- Large-component or heavy machining
- Eccentric or offset turning/millingMulti-axis machining
- Precision grinding
- Deep-hole or oil-hole drilling
- Siemens ShopTurn / ShopMillISO / G-code programming
- Fanuc, Heidenhain, or other CNC controls
- Heavy equipment, power generation, marine, locomotive, or industrial engine components

Pay: $32.00-$38.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
