Our services are designed to tailor various learning styles and offer additional support to students in primary, secondary and college level. We offer English as a Second Language (ESL), English Language Arts (ELA), Math & Science and admissions support in the Montreal area to Chinese communities. Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Physics tutor to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in instructing Physics to secondary and CEGEP students in Montreal in preparation for their exams. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to instruct effectively, and a proactive approach. Familiarity with the High-School system and content is essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver lessons on Physics topics based on resources provided.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of each student.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages respect and collaboration of 4-8 students per group.
- Provide support and feedback about students regarding their progress.
- Correct all assignments and review assigned homework questions.
- Attend bi-weekly preparatory meetings with our organization to discuss your student's progress.
- Assist with all other duties related to tutoring.
Requirements
- A background in Physics, Education, or a related field.
- Proven experience in teaching or tutoring at the middle school, high school, or college level.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong organizational skills.
- Speaking French or Mandarin is an asset.
- English is mandatory.
Hours: 5 - 15 hours weekly (part-time contract)
Location: Côte-des-Neiges, Montreal
Salary: Starting at 36$ per hour
