JOB OVERVIEW

We are currently seeking a Junior Analyst, Responsible Investing to join our Responsible Investment team. In this role, the successful candidate is expected to support the team in implementing processes and procedures for the integration of environmental, social and governance factors across investment portfolios, corporate engagement and proxy voting, and continual improvement and development of responsible investment and corporate responsibility at CI.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Assist in the ongoing monitoring of investment portfolios by performing quarterly portfolio reviews for Portfolio Managers
Assist with continuous monitoring of companies being engaged and company analysis prior to company/collaborative engagements and proxy voting
Provide ongoing support for CI Portfolio Managers on ESG-related tasks and requests
Assist with drafting responses for Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs)
Perform ongoing research to stay current with industry trends and developments
Gather data and assist with drafting of content/responses for CI’s UNPRI Transparency Report, CI Financial’s Annual Report corporate responsibility disclosure as well as other corporate issuer ESG disclosure frameworks (i.e. MSCI, Sustainalytics, Vigeo Eiris, ISS, DJSI, CDP, Corporate Knights)
Represent CI at various responsible investment and corporate responsibility events and functions
Work with CI’s Green Committee by attending monthly Green Committee meetings, assisting with planning and implementing CI environmental programs, and the planning and execution of Ray Day events
Other duties as assigned
WHAT YOU WILL BRING

1-2 years of related work experience in a responsible investing and/or financial services role
Completion of post-secondary education in business, finance, environmental sciences, or social sciences or the equivalent work experience
Demonstrated knowledge of environmental, social and governance risks and opportunities across different sectors
Basic knowledge of responsible investing and/or financial services
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Passion for sustainable value creation
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Result-driven and demonstrated commitment to high quality results
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated experience as an effective communicator and team player
Ability to work independently with limited supervision
