We are a Hakka Chinese and Indian Restaurant looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Helper to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and assisting with basic food preparation, including deep frying. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and committed to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, equipment, and utensils
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed
- Operate deep fryers safely and cook items according to guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness of frying stations and manage oil levels
- Follow all food safety and health regulations
- Support kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations
Requirements:
- Previous kitchen or food service experience is an asset, but not required
- Ability to handle hot equipment and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to cleanliness and organization
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
