Compten Management Inc. is a growing full-service property management company specializing in professionally managed multi-residential communities throughout Toronto and the GTA. As our portfolio continues to expand, we are seeking a reliable, skilled, and hands-on Maintenance Technician to join our team at one of our residential apartment communities in The Junction area of Etobicoke.

About the Role
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of the property. Working closely with the Property Manager and site team, you will help ensure that resident service requests are completed efficiently, common areas are maintained to a high standard, and building systems are operating effectively.
The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, customer-focused, and comfortable working independently while being part of a larger property management team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repairs throughout the residential apartment building.
- Respond to resident maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Troubleshoot and complete basic plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, carpentry, and other general repairs.
- Conduct regular inspections of common areas, mechanical rooms, building systems, and exterior areas.
- Assist with preventative maintenance programs and ensure equipment is properly maintained.
- Coordinate and oversee external contractors and service providers when required.
- Assist with apartment suite turnovers, including repairs, painting, and preparing units for new residents.
- Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of the property.
- Identify maintenance concerns before they become larger issues and report recommendations to management.
- Maintain accurate records of completed work and maintenance activities.
- Assist with emergency maintenance situations as required.
- Follow all health and safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in apartment, condominium, commercial, or residential building maintenance is preferred.
- Strong general knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and drywall repairs.
- Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues and identify practical solutions.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Reliable, professional, and detail-oriented.
- Experience with preventative maintenance programs is an asset.
