Position Summary
We are seeking an Accounting Technician to support day-to-day accounting operations across multiple entities. Reporting to the Controller, this role is responsible for full cycle accounting, including reconciliations, AP, payroll support, and month-end close activities. This is an excellent opportunity for an early- to mid-career accounting professional looking to grow in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Full Cycle Accounting
- Monthly bank, general ledger, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Accounts Payable processing and vendor payments
- Intercompany transfers and reconciliation
- Month-end and year-end closing support, including journal entries
- Sales journal, petty cash, and reimbursement reconciliations
- Payroll processing for multiple companies, ensuring compliance with federal and provincial standards
- Use of accounting systems, POS integrations, and Excel spreadsheets
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage 300)
- Strong understanding of debits/credits, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting
- Payroll experience is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
