Job Overview
We are looking for a Computer Engineering Technologist with strong programming skills and a mechanical aptitude, to join our team. Ideally the candidate has electrical experience, but an electrical apprenticeship will be given. You will be in the field being trained as an electrician and work with our existing programmer to learn our computer systems. Experience with PLC and PAC programming and basic networking are major assets.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop PLC and PAC programs
- Debug and maintain computer systems
- Create and modify schematics using software tools like AutoCAD
- Build and test prototypes of computer programs
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project success
_ Work with an existing team to develop industrial electrical systems using both computer and conventional controls.
- Perform electrical in commericial and industrial environments.
Qualifications
- 2 year diploma in Computer Engineering Technology or equivalent
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
- Strong knowledge of English
- Experience in debugging and maintaining computer systems
- Familiarity with schematics design
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
