Assistant Manager – Take 5 Oil Change

Take 5 Oil Change is looking for an experienced, motivated Assistant Manager to join our South London team.
This is a hands-on leadership position. The Assistant Manager will work directly alongside the team servicing vehicles while helping oversee daily shop operations, customer service, staff performance, and overall store standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Store Manager with daily shop operations
- Work directly on vehicles performing oil changes and other preventative maintenance services
- Lead, coach, and support technicians during shifts
- Ensure customers receive fast, professional, and friendly service
- Maintain proper service procedures, vehicle safety standards, and torque specifications
- Help manage workflow and vehicle movement through the shop
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Assist with opening and closing procedures
- Help monitor inventory, supplies, and shop equipment
- Support employee training and development
- Address customer concerns professionally when required
- Ensure company policies and procedures are followed
Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years of automotive, quick-lube, tire, or related service experience
- Previous supervisory, team lead, or management experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and preventative services
- Comfortable working directly on vehicles
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Dependable, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s licence
- Must be available to work weekdays, evenings, and weekends
- Must be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
