Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to various surfaces and components, ensuring high-quality standards are met. This role requires mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand and power tools, and familiarity with safety procedures. The Painter will contribute to the efficient production process while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as needed
- Apply paint, coatings, or finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment with precision
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform surface preparation and finishing tasks
- Follow safety protocols including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Conduct quality checks to ensure finishes meet specifications and standards
- Assist in assembly or machining processes as required for project completion
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment throughout the shift
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines efficiently
Requirements
- Proven experience in painting within a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety standards
- Basic understanding of safety procedures related to industrial painting and equipment use
Pay: $18.00-$28.00 per hour
