Apprentice Technician
Location: Dixie Toyota – Mississauga, ON
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $19/hour
Position Summary
Dixie Toyota is looking for a dedicated, eager to learn automotive apprentice.
Do you have a passion for cars? Are you looking to start a career in an automotive dealership? Do you enjoy working with a close-knit team in a fast-paced environment? As an apprentice the candidate will have the ability to work alongside skilled technicians and showcase their natural talent.
Candidates must be reliable, responsible and able to work 40 hrs/week . Candidates must be able to lift 50lbs and move tires daily. Ontario G2 (or greater) driver's license is required in order to fulfil the job duties.
Key Responsibilities
Dismounting & mounting tires
Organizing tires in dealership
Helping Service Advisors check in cars in the drive-thru
Perform Oil Changes & maintenance
Cleaning shop & other duties as required
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Grade 12 diploma (post-secondary education is an asset)
Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
Basic computer and math skills
Attention to detail and team oriented
Saturday work required
Possesses the ability to self-start
Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines
Automotive knowledge/experience is an asset, but not required
Must possess a valid G class license
Legally eligible to work in Canada
