Who you are:
As an integral member of the MSc Program Services department you manage all aspects of the mandatory practicums and integrated learning initiatives for graduate students in the Ivey Master of Science in Management programs. You’re a skilled multi-tasker and thrive in an environment where you’re responsible for initiating and implementing a variety of initiatives, including everything from implementing recruitment campaigns for practicums and assisting students and organizations in securing practicums, to preparing contracts for practicums as needed and establishing and maintaining comprehensive databases to track opportunities and measure students’ practicum status, achievements and progress. You are a relationship builder extraordinaire who is enthusiastic about seeking out and promoting the Ivey Analytics Lab (IAL) opportunity to prospective practicum partners. You see the value in collaboration, working closely with the MSc Program Services team to coordinate and deliver the many program activities, e.g. orientation sessions, Ivey MSc case competitions, Convocation, and other special events.
The Ivey MSc program is one of the central business units within Ivey and has been identified strategically as an area for growth in program offerings and student enrolments. The Ivey MSc practicums and integrated learning initiatives are mandatory program requirements.
What You’ll Do:
Collaborate with the Faculty Director, key faculty, MSc Program Services team, and others on key messages regarding the Ivey MSc Ivey Analytics Lab practicum.
Administer IAL practicum and identify new practicum partners and opportunities.
Manage and deliver all aspects of promotional campaigns and materials to potential practicum partners.
Participate in the promotion of the Ivey MSc program through attendance at professional networking events, e.g. targeted analytics conferences, etc. Arranges travel to promotional events.
Provide practicum organizations with Ivey MSc program information, relevant practicum-related handbooks, etc.
Work to minimize school subsidies of practicum placements
Create and maintain databases on promotional initiatives; track metrics, evaluate and report results on promotional activities.
Coordinate all operational, logistical, and administrative aspects of the IAL practicum and integrated learning initiatives by enhancing interaction with students, faculty, and organizations.
Maintain up-to-date information on practicum policies and procedures, ensuring practicum policies and procedures are followed.
Collaborate and communicate with faculty and staff involved in the Ivey MSc program and makes suggestions on improvements to processes and identifies new practicum opportunities.
Work with faculty to evaluate the appropriateness of new and ongoing practicums for students.
Communicate with practicum organizations regarding plans for student practicums, e.g. project proposal forms, dates, student numbers, company specific requirements, etc.
Collaborate with Ivey Events team to organize student and company practicum events.
Inform students of logistics and prepares materials for events.
Collaborate with Ivey Career Management regarding student resume books; inform Career Management of practicum organizations and student placements with organizations.
Collaborate with faculty on the matching processes of students with organizations.
Ensure the completion and submission of student evaluations from partner organizations.
Address and resolve problems related to the practicum experience.
Maintain good relationships with students, faculty, staff, and Ivey MSc practicum partners.
Establish and maintain comprehensive databases for all practicum related information, tracking metrics, and evaluating and reporting on multiple aspects of practicum activities.
Collaborate with the lead faculty member, Program Services, and students, coordinates integrated learning activities in the various MSc program streams such as technology bootcamps, incubator experiences, programming language classes, etc.
Advise students about practicum opportunities that match their interests and aspirations; assists students with making informed choices about their practicum requests.
Offer mentorship and counseling for students prior to and during the practicum.
Coordinate and deliver many program activities in partnership with the Program Services team, e.g. orientation sessions, Ivey MSc case competitions, Convocation, and other special events.
Support new program practicums and integrated learning initiatives (i.e. Ivey Digital Lab), as required.
What You Have:
An undergraduate university degree.
At least four to five years of current experience in a related, client-facing position.
A least four to five years of business development experience
A background in experiential learning models and leading practice is an asset.
Skills & Abilities:
Strong desire to take initiative and ability to identify new opportunities.
Sales skills and the ability to effectively and enthusiastically represent Ivey, its students and MSc practicum opportunities to targeted organizations.
A high level of tact, confidentiality, diplomacy, professionalism, and a demonstrated ability to build appropriate rapport and constructive and effective relationships.
Ability to be innovative and implement ideas in a practical and timely manner.
Must have strong organizational, priority setting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
Demonstrated sound judgement and decision-making abilities.
Ability to track, analyze and synthesize a high volume of information and to handle multiple projects and meet strict deadlines.
Strong database management and database reporting experience; strong computer skills: Salesforce, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; strong aptitude to learn new technology including web-based technology and social media outlets.
Ability to travel, primarily within Ontario, and to work some evenings and weekends.
Strong knowledge of policies and procedures of the University and Ivey.
Knowledge of the field of analytics an asset; willingness to further own knowledge of analytics.
Knowledge of the graduate business program market is desirable.
Working knowledge of employment law and regulations is an asset, including those for international students
Due to the academic cycle, there are restrictions on vacations at certain times of the year. Overtime may be required during certain events and at peak periods.

Position Type: This is a full-time (35-hours/week) 3-year renewable contract with full benefits.
Typical Hiring Range: Based on the salary band for this role, external candidates can expect to be offered a starting salary in the range of $65,200-$81,500. When determining salary, we consider the market, candidate experience, as well as internal equity. Once in the role, successful candidates will have the opportunity to progress through the range and beyond the hiring range of the band, through annual increases. The maximum salary for this band is approximately 20% higher than the top end of the hiring range.
