Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented, and patient Cleaner/Organizer assistant to join our team. This team member will learn to specialize in serving neurodivergent individuals and take a mental health approach to traditional home services. The ideal candidate is not only skilled in residential or office cleaning but also has experience in customer service. They should effectively be able to tailor their service approach to meet the unique needs and preferences of each client in a respectful and empowering way.
A driver's license, access to a car and a clean background check are required. You will receive a weekly credit towards gas and care maintenance. You will be provided with all supplies needed for the job. This is a part-time role that will ideally be available at least 3 days/week between the hours of 9AM-5PM, with the possibility to take on more hours with satisfactory performance.
Duties
- Provide professional, high-quality cleaning services in homes or spaces occupied by neurodivergent and neurotypical clients.
- Learning professional organization and decluttering methods.
- Adapt routines and communication styles to accommodate sensitivities, executive dysfunction, and other related needs.
- Build trust with clients by maintaining consistency, respecting boundaries, and offering judgment-free support.
- Maintain confidentiality and respect for clients’ space, privacy, and belongings.
Experience
- Previous experience in professional cleaning (residential or commercial) and customer service is required.
- Lived or professional experience working with neurodivergent individuals is highly valued, but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Trauma-informed, empathetic, and non-judgmental approach.
- Ability to work independently and in teams, follow detailed instructions, and adapt to unique environments.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs and perform physical tasks as part of cleaning duties. Must be physically fit to ensure stamina throughout the workday.
- Bilingualism is an asset.
