The Recreation Services Ambassador will support the Recreation Event Managers and Coordinators with all recreation needs for school, social, corporate and association groups. This person will be responsible for greeting and de-briefing groups and directing and/or escorting them to the appropriate activity locations.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

Greeting groups upon arrival and providing our ‘bus speech’
Manages many group arrivals and organizes them to be serviced in order of arrival
Guiding on-resort snowshoe hikes for groups
Communicating any last-minute changes to the Recreation Event Manager; using two-way radio communication when required
Problem solving group conflicts; work with supporting operational departments
Escorting groups to onsite activities and remain available for questions/support when required
Meeting groups to facilitate waiver signing and provide direction for off-resort tours as needed
Providing ongoing communication between shifts with Coordinator and Event Manager to ensure all channels of communication are accurate and up to date
Sets the standard for excellence and continually strives to improve the group process
Acts quickly on their feet, always keeping a positive and enthusiastic attitude

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

Must have proven customer service experience and thrive working in a dynamic team environment
Excellent time management skills and organizational skills (ability to meet strict deadlines)
Must have previous experience working with school aged children in a recreational setting
Must be a professional, energetic and independent worker
Must be comfortable speaking to or in front of large groups
Must be able to work in winter weather conditions and set pace for uphill snowshoe hikes
Must be able to reason and react with quick judgment, while remaining calm under pressure
Previous recreational/resort experience and knowledge an asset
Must be able to work a variety of shifts including weekdays, weekends and holidays
