Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to efficiently manage inventory and support warehouse operations. This role requires mechanical knowledge, attention to safety, and the ability to perform heavy lifting. The Forklift Operator plays a crucial role in maintaining smooth warehouse distribution processes and ensuring accurate order picking and inventory management within our warehouse management system.
Duties
- Safely operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to move, load, and unload goods within the warehouse
- Perform order picking accurately using warehouse management systems to fulfill customer orders
- Assist with inventory management by organizing stock and ensuring proper storage procedures
- Conduct routine inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns
- Load and unload trucks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols
- Use basic math skills to verify quantities and measurements during handling processes
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Support warehouse distribution activities by coordinating with team members for timely order fulfillment
Experience
- Prior experience operating forklifts, especially reach clamp trucks, counterbalance, dock stocker, walkie and order pickers, is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with warehouse equipment is a plus
- Experience working in warehouse distribution or logistics environments is advantageous
- Basic math skills necessary for accurate order processing and inventory counts
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar inventory software is beneficial
- Previous experience with order picking and warehouse operations will be considered an asset
Pay: $21.00-$24.00 per hour
