What You’ll Do
We’re looking for a skilled, personable, and energetic Bartender to join our team! In this role, you’ll craft exceptional cocktails, provide attentive bar service, and support front-of-house service as needed to create seamless, memorable guest experiences. If you’re passionate about mixology, seasonally inspired menus, and delivering elevated service, this could be the perfect fit for you.
Our beverage program is inspired by the land, sea, and cultural heritage of the region, featuring locally sourced ingredients and thoughtfully curated wines, beers, and spirits. You’ll play a key role in bringing this experience to life for our guests, both behind the bar and on the floor.
This is a seasonal, on-site position running from Spring to Fall in a remote location, with staff accommodation provided. Split shifts may be required, so flexibility and a positive attitude are essential.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in a timely and professional manner.
- Craft cocktails to a high standard, following recipes while contributing creativity where appropriate.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on beverages, including cocktails, wine, and beer, as well as our food menu offerings.
- Support front-of-house service, including taking orders, running food and drinks, and engaging with guests as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including stocking and inventory management.
- Ensure dining and bar areas remain clean, organized, and guest-ready.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- Monitor guest consumption and ensure responsible alcohol service.
- Collaborate with kitchen and service teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Handle guest requests and concerns with professionalism and care.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and liquor regulations.
- Support additional operational tasks as needed, including assisting other departments when required.
Requirements
- Valid Serving It Right Certification.
- Previous bartending experience required; serving experience considered a strong asset.
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to work split shifts (morning and evening shifts, when required).
- Positive attitude, reliability, and strong attention to detail.
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry bar stock (cases, trays, etc.)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
What We Offer
- Hourly wage: $22–24
- Staff accommodation, staff cafeteria, and meals provided for $750/month
- Discretionary bonus based on overall business performance
