As our Purchasing Agent, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods to meet operational requirements for the BeautiTone Paint & Home Products Division. This opportunity suits someone who is detail oriented and can analyze data and market trends effectively.
Ready to make an impact in a new role? Here’s how:
- Direct the purchase of material for the division.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers of materials, equipment, transportation, and services to the division. The purchasing dept. is the liaison between the division and its suppliers.

Supply chain management. Develop logistical channels to ensure materials are available and arrive on time to feed our manufacturing processes.

Negotiate contracts, prices, terms, etc. with our suppliers.
- Stay updated on market conditions for both the purchased materials and their feedstocks.

Source new raw materials, packaging items, plant supplies, equipment, and safety supplies and source offsets for current materials.

Perform cost analysis on various scenarios to enable fact-based decisions.

Set Standard Material Costs for the Division’s Annual Budget. Review Purchase Price Variance to monitor accuracy of Standard Material Costs.
- Provide input for the design and testing of new packaging materials such as cartons, bottles and create bills of material for finished goods. Includes creating pallet configurations and complying with regulatory legislation.

Place, enter and expedite orders for raw materials and plant supplies.

Participate in industry associations.

Investigate incidents of off spec materials and arrange return and compensation. Obtain corrective action from supplier.

Prepare data for regulatory reports.

Provide vacation coverage for department members.

Enter and maintain information into Oracle (ex. new vendors, new finished goods, new materials).
We’re looking for:
- Diploma or Degree in Business, Purchasing, Supply Chain Management.

3-5 years purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment.

Excellent communication, planning, organizational, analytical and negotiation skills.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office. Oracle experience an asset.
