OVERVIEW
- As a Furniture Repair Technician, you will be responsible for Repairs and refinishes furniture, including case goods, upholstery, and home repair from delivery, if applicable.
- Assess product to determine repair requirements.
- Answer Customers’ questions before, during, and following repairs, including providing directions for future use and care of the product.
- Document and complete service reports.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
2-5 years of relevant experience or equivalent
- Knowledge in upholstering fabric
- Knowledge in leather furniture
- Knowledge in mechanism repair
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s license with clean driver’s abstract
- Criminal Record Check required
- Pre-employment drug screen
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service – friendly, courteous, empathetic, and helpful, interpersonal skills and telephone etiquette
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Ability to problem solve
- Devout to teamwork, autonomous
- Leather and wood repair would be an asset.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Physically fit, able to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs.
- Assembling and repairing furniture or any relevant experience;
- Comfortable with the use of different tools
