The ideal candidate will be involved in various construction and maintenance tasks, contributing to the successful completion of projects. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. The Laborer will assist in building, restoring, and maintaining structures while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation of building materials and fixtures.
- Perform caulking and sealing tasks to ensure proper insulation and weatherproofing.
- Support carpentry work by helping to build frameworks, walls, and other structures.
- Help with construction painting, ensuring surfaces are prepared and finished to specifications.
- Read and interpret schematics to assist in project execution.
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on existing structures.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in construction or maintenance person roles is preferred.
- Proficiency in construction, carpentry, concrete work, and installation tasks is highly desirable.
- Ability to read plans and understand construction plans isn't a must but helps.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Capable of lifting heavy materials and performing physically demanding tasks.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team setting.
- A valid driver's license may be required for transportation between job sites.
