Your position within the Nursing Resource Team will be to provide constant or close observation of patients for the purpose of advancing the patient´s safety, and according to policies and procedures at the University Health Network. Working all shifts (Days, evenings, nights, weekends, stats holidays).
As an Unregulated Care Provider (UCP), you will receive reports and follow the direction of the patients' assigned nurse. Primary responsibilities will include: immediately reporting to the assigned nurse any changes in the patient´s status without leaving the patient; participating in any physical and verbal interventions as needed; assisting the nurse with activities of daily living; following established safety measures; maintaining appropriate Infection Control practices/WHMIS precautions; safeguarding and maintaining patient confidentiality, dignity and privacy at all times; performing other duties that are consistent with the job classification.
Completion of 50% of a Bachelor of Science of Nursing (BScN) program
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to use good judgment in assessing difficult situations
Demonstrate a patient-centered approach to providing care and services
Experience working in a health care environment
CPR certification required
