Position Overview
Fire & Flood YXE is seeking a hardworking and reliable Flood and Restoration Technician to join our emergency response team. In this role, you will restore residential and commercial properties damaged by water, fire, smoke, and mold, helping Saskatoon community members rebuild after a disaster.
Key Responsibilities
Respond promptly to emergency property damage calls (water, fire, mold).
Extract water, remove damaged building materials (drywall, flooring, insulation), and set up drying equipment.
Clean, sanitize, and deodorize affected structures and contents.
Maintain accurate daily logs, photos, and moisture readings using restoration software.
Load, unload, and maintain service vehicles and equipment.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience: Previous construction, demolition, or restoration experience is preferred, but we will train the right candidate. IICRC certifications (WRT, ASD) are a major asset.
Requirements: Must possess a valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean abstract and pass a criminal record check.
Physical Fitness: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in confined spaces or PPE when required.
Availability: Willingness to participate in a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours emergencies.
