Magna Mining Inc. is a Sudbury-focused, base metal exploration and development company.
Magna Mining’s key objective is to become the next nickel and copper producing company in Canada by executing a growth strategy that is focused exclusively on the historic nickel producing district of Sudbury, ON.
We intend to achieve this objective via the creation of a Sudbury focused, hub and spoke production model, with our existing Shakespeare project as the hub. The path to the creation of a significant new battery metals producing Canadian company is to execute a long term, multi-faceted growth strategy.
The Specialist, Information Management is responsible for supporting and developing Magna Mining’s information management and digital workplace solutions, including SharePoint, Power BI, Microsoft 365, document manager, and information governance. Working within the IT team, this position collaborates with business functions to develop practical digital solutions, improve access to information, automate process, and support effective information management across the organization.

Administer, develop, and continuously improve SharePoint sites, document libraries, lists, workflows, and collaboration solutions.

Establish and maintain document control and information management standards, including document lifecycle, retention, archiving, and governance requirements.

Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to support business reporting, data visibility, and decision-making.

Develop workflows, applications, and automated solutions using Power Automate, Power Apps, and other Microsoft Power Platform tools.

Work with departments to identify business needs and develop solutions that improve processes, reporting, collaboration, and access to information.

Support the integration and effective use of SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Power BI, and Power Platform tools across the organization.

Develop and maintain standardized information architecture, file structures, naming conventions, metadata, and permissions.

Ensure SharePoint and corporate information environments are secure, organized, accessible, and easy to navigate.

Manage and regularly review user access and permissions to support information security and confidentiality.

Support departments with the organization, migration, and ongoing management of corporate information.

Provide user support, training, and guidance to increase adoption and effective use of Microsoft 365 and digital workplace tools.

Identify and implement continuous improvements through technology, automation, and process optimization.

Undertake additional responsibilities as required to support departmental and organizational needs.
Qualifications: Formal Education, Certifications or Equivalents

Post-secondary education in Information Management, Information Technology, Business Administration, Records Management, or a related field.
Work Experience: Nature & Length

Minimum 4 years of related experience in document control, information management, records management, file management, or a similar role.

Experience with document and file management practices and information governance.

Experience with Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, or other reporting and automation tools is required.

Experience converting spreadsheet-based processes into structured database or application-backed solutions an asset.
