Sales Representative – Manitoba and Lakehead Region

Palliser Furniture Upholstery Ltd. is currently seeking a driven and experienced Sales Representative to service the Manitoba and Lakehead Ontario Region. As the successful candidate, you will travel within the territory to direct the sales efforts within the region and achieve the sales goals for all Palliser categories including Palliser Upholstery, Palliser Case Good and Pinnacle brands. Your strong interpersonal skills and proven experience with direct sales will assist you in developing and growing relationships with new and existing customers, seeking out opportunities for sales growth and maintaining exceptional service to the major national and key accounts within your region.

Your responsibilities will include:
Routine travel within the territory to keep up with market trends, learn the established retailer partners and seek out new opportunities for sales growth.
Responsible to call on and service national and key accounts on a set frequency and reporting back to Sales Management as required.
Establish Monthly/Quarterly sales budget review & expectations and monitor business results with Sales Manager.
Identify and create strategy on high potential target retailers to partner with to establish new Palliser accounts.
Train retail sales associates on a routine basis on product knowledge and selling techniques on all Palliser programs.
Weekly and monthly reporting on sales, service and product issues.
Partner with internal departments such as customer service, quality, production, logistics, credit and other stakeholders when problem solving is needed.
Handle any retailer issues as they come up with professionalism and respect, escalating as required.
Recruit retail managers and sales associates to Palliser University.

Minimum 3 years direct sales experience
Post - secondary school education or a combination of experience and education
Experience in furniture manufacturing and or design is an asset
Experience with Sales Reporting
Working capability with Microsoft Office products
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to set priorities
Experience with and a high degree of comfort level presenting and or training on product knowledge
Self-motivated and driven
Well-honed problem-solving skills
Willingness to travel 60% of the time, primarily by car, some overnight required.
