The Imaging and Disclosure Technician is a resource for functions including electronic data capture of court charging packages, and supplemental data and electronic disclosure to the Crown as required. This role is also responsible for the image capturing and disclosure processing for the Calgary Police Service. Specific duties include:
Assemble, organize, and consolidate electronic disclosure packages; including physical documents, photos, audio and video records, spreadsheets, maps, and diagrams.
Ensure all disclosable material is organized, comprehensible, and compliable with protocols.
Review case documentation to identify outstanding, incomplete, or inconsistent information.
Update and maintain processes for document scanning, data entry, organization, and retrieval.
Convert digital files to acceptable formats, and complete request of copies for disclosure submissions in a time-sensitive manner.
Edit documents as identified by Sworn and Crown staff.

Working Conditions: Exposure to graphic, disturbing and sensitive material.

Qualifications
A High School diploma or equivalency (e.g., GED).
A minimum of 2 related courses from the Records and Information Management Certificate program.
At least 2 years of previous police related experience, including considerable knowledge of the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures applicable to the assembly, organization and consolidation of electronic disclosure packages pertaining to criminal investigations.
Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word) and Adobe Acrobat Pro is required.
You are a good communicator who can build relationships that help with team building and teamwork.
You have excellent customer service skills and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
Pre-employment Requirements

Compensation: Pay Grade 6 $29.35 - 39.24 per hour (2017 rates)
Days of Work: This position works a 5 day
work week with 1 day off in a 2 week cycle.
Hours of work: Non-standard 40 hour work week
