We have a NEW fulltime position open up for a sprayer operator/ Class 1 driver. We are a pedigreed seed farm operating in the Redwater, ab area. We have a hardworking crew that still likes to have fun at work. We run on a team environment but right candidate needs to be able to take responsibility for their actions and be able to work on individual tasks. We have modern equipment that we take pride in and run a full retail seed yard on site. We are looking for both seasonal and full time with the current focus being on filling fulltime positions. Responsibilities:
- Carry out field work operations including tillage, seeding, spraying and harvest.
- Able to assist with grain handling system repair and heavy duty/automotive maintenance and repair.
- Conduct minor electrical and welding repairs.
- Required to clean and maintain equipment inside and out.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience operating equipment preferably in a feedlot or farm setting
- Asset if there is prior experience in heavy duty mechanics, electrical and welding an asset
- Valid drivers license required. Class 1 an asset
- Excellent communication and strong organization skills
- Follows policies and procedures and completes tasks correctly and on time
- Accepts responsibility for own actions and follows through on commitments
- Is consistently at work and on time
- Physically fit and able to push, pull, lift up to 50+ lbs and to bend and kneel with comfort
- Must be flexible and able to work days, evening, weekends, holidays and longer hours/days during busy seasons
- Own transportation is required
- NO housing provided
Wage is dependent on experience which we assess on an individual basis.
