nutbar is a superfood cafe that puts the world’s most nutrient-rich, 100% organic foods in the spotlight. With three existing locations in Toronto, we are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced store manager to lead our newest location in Midtown. The role is essential to the seamless operations of the store and to our company as a whole. We are really excited to find the right person who is interested in taking our business to the next level and growing with us.

- Has previous experience supervising or managing teams in a cafe or restaurant setting and has a fundamental understanding of restaurant or cafe operations
- Is a natural leader and is able to manage, engage and inspire team members

- Is passionate about healthy, whole, organic foods
- Is a champion of exceptional customer experience and has innate ability to problem solve on the go
- Is able to work varied hours/days and is willing to be on call during all hours of operation.
Roles + Responsibilities
Front Line Service:
- Actively work on the sales floor and deliver impeccable product and customer service
- Overseeing day-to-day store operations. Successfully address all customer inquiries
- Fluency and knowledge of all nutbar menu, operations, policies and procedures
- Is the role model for the nutbar experience
- Coordinate successful executions of catering orders and/or special request
Operational Excellence
- Partner with COO to align vision through to store operations
- Continually monitor, drive and maximize in-store retail sales performance
- Manage store staff schedules to maximize efficiency and customer experience
- Effectively manage inventory and oversee organized storage and inventory systems
- Manage facility cleanliness and Health + Safety standards
- Complete weekly and monthly reports (labor, expenses, sales, etc) and advise of changes, adjustments, and corrections
- Actively maintain best practices and documentation
- Ensure service schedules are completed on-time and not missed. Is first point of contact for routine maintenance + service
- Quickly identify issues (processes, equipment, people) and quickly resolve
- Continually and consistently deliver on food standards and actively execute food spot checks
Team Management
- Develop and iterate store team hiring process, lead onboarding, training programs and legal/governance requirement
- Establish communication rhythm and format that allow people to give and receive feedback (regular check-ins, formal staff performance reviews)
- Provide oversight, mentoring, direction and monitor execution of team as they evolve
