Our west-end client is seeking a Financial Controller for a temporary to full-time opportunity. This position will be responsible for the organization’s financial management and oversight, internal controls and reporting.

The Financial Controller’s duties will include:
  • Managing financial planning, budgeting and other financial activities
  • Liaising with external auditors and internal stakeholders on audit activities
  • Managing the integrity of financial systems and processes
  • Providing financial reports and ensuring documentation and maintenance of internal policies and procedures
  • Leading risk management and compliance activities
  • Providing leadership and mentoring to the finance team
  • Other duties in support of Finance and Financial Operations as required
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
  • Post-secondary diploma/degree from a university in accounting and/or business
  • CPA designation
  • Experience with Sage 300
  • At least 5 years of accounting experience
  • Experience working in a not-for-profit environment considered a strong asset
