About Us:
We are the largest Wendy's franchisee in Southern Alberta, operating a dynamic and growing family office. Beyond our restaurant success, we manage a diverse portfolio in real estate, venture capital, private equity, and equity markets. We're looking for an experienced Executive Assistant to support our varied operations.
Role Overview:
As our Executive Assistant, you will oversee essential financial and operational functions. This role demands a detail-oriented professional with excellent organizational skills, capable of managing finance, HR, and operations responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Finance:
- Reporting and Verification: Prepare and analyze accurate financial reports.
- Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations.
- Accounts Payable: Manage vendor payments and expense tracking.
- Vendor Contracts: Handle vendor relationships and contracts for cost-effective procurement.
Human Resources:
- Payroll Management: Process payroll using PayWorks.
- Recruitment and Hiring: Assist with recruitment and onboarding.
- Foreign Temporary Workers: Manage compliance for hiring foreign workers.
- Timecards and Compliance: Monitor timecards and ensure WCB and Service Canada compliance.
Operations:
- Restaurant Supplies: Oversee procurement of supplies for Wendy's franchises.
- Vendor Service Management: Maintain relationships with service vendors for top-quality service.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven in bookkeeping and office management, preferably in a family office.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and PayWorks is preferred.
- Financial Acumen: Solid understanding of financial reporting, reconciliation, and accounts payable.
- HR Expertise: Knowledge of payroll systems and employment regulations.
- Operational Skills: Ability to manage supply chain and vendor management.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills.
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional detail-oriented abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with diverse asset management, including real estate and venture capital.
- Strong problem-solving skills and independence.
- Familiarity with WCB and Service Canada regulations.
