transport industry with an immediate opening for an
Accounting & Operations Coordinator.
Start Date: Immediately
Job Title: Accounting & Operations Coordinator
Position Type: Full-Time, Monday to Friday
Rate: $30/hr
- Process and review daily accounting transactions using Sage 300
- Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, collections, payments, and reconciliations
- Assist with cash management, deposits, payroll entries, and remittances
- Reconcile inventory, purchases, deliveries, transfers, and adjustments
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to costs, pricing, taxes, freight, and inventory
- Assist with month-end reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and reporting
- Prepare Excel spreadsheets and reports for cash, aging, inventory, margins, and variances
- Support purchasing, pricing, customer quotes, and day-to-day operations
- Work collaboratively with accounting and operations teams to resolve issues
- Help improve processes, controls, documentation, and operational efficiency
- Take on additional responsibilities as business needs change
- 5+ years of progressive bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Education in accounting, finance, business, or equivalent experience
- Strong knowledge of full-cycle bookkeeping and month-end processes
- Proficiency with Sage 300 and advanced Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and changing deadlines
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High level of confidentiality and sound judgment
- Experience in an inventory-intensive or petroleum-related industry
- Experience with tax reporting and operational accounting
- Accounting designation or certification
- Experience with inventory reconciliations and operational reporting
- Ability to grow with the company and take on additional responsibilities
- Strong initiative and ability to follow tasks through to completion
